Yagawa-jinja Shrine

Yagawa-jinja Shrine was known for a shrine to pray for rain, and it protected the 22 local villages. The thatched gate, a cultural property of Shiga prefecture, was built in 1482 through donations from 50 villages in Nara Prefecture in gratitude for rain.
